Mall restaurants aren't always bad.

I'm truly here for tasty salads. They make life so much more guilt free! If I was someone who was consistent with my eating, these are the type of salads I would eat.

JB's corner is a popular restaurant and rightly so. I believe they have the best sushi and salads in Johannesburg. Their food is made to almost perfection. Every ingredient in this bowl was fresh, meat was extremely tasty, but that tasty that still feels healthy. I believe when a meal tastes to good, it might be unhealthy. But that was not the case with this one. Taste and Health benefits were equally aligned.

I'm not crazy about eating in malls because I think the excessive amount of people make it a little hard to to truly enjoy the experience. But, somehow, JBs corner has managed to still make the restaurant feel like it's not part of the Sandton City commotion. Which is something I really appreciated. The restaurant is quite big, with an upstairs seating. It has a lot of space so the tables aren't all bunched together. This is an important factor as I feel it contributes to one not feeling like they are clustered in the restaurant and eating with everyone who is there. I would not particularly give this restaurant a certain type of vibe, it is what you make it of it. Some people could find it busy and upbeat, others may think it is good to find corner tables and associate it with intimacy, others may feel it is both.

I would suggest this restaurant for any type of informal gathering. A date, catch up lunch, staff outing, or personal dates. The scenery allows for easy going casual conversations, not one of those serious restaurants where you feel you've got to whisper because it feels like everyone else is doing that. I wouldn't go as far as having a formal business meeting as you may feel like the issues being discussed are too sensitive to have mentioned in front of many people, but that solely depends on you.

I really like JB,s Corner overall. They have bomb food, have a magical dessert table, and a good ambiance. There's nothing you can fault the place on and I guess that's what makes it great.
