Last week i was lucky enough to be apart of Doppio Zero launching their new FRESH menu as part of the Pink Table Project event. The food was absolutely amazing, and really healthy, so that made it even more bomb, there was good company, and most importantly it was part of a really meaningful and worthwhile initiative.

The Pink Table Project campaign is aimed at getting restaurants all over South Africa to start giving customers the option of healthier menus. Their overall mission is to highlight healthy eating around the country. Restaurants typically have healthy meals, but not necessarily a healthy menu. The core aim of this campaign is to get people to help themselves. This is done through living a healthier lifestyle, when you do so,you eliminate your chances of being faced with detrimental illnesses. Which leads to why the campaign was started, in pursuit of the prevention of cancer. Its said that, those that eat better increase their likelihoods of living healthier cancer free lives. This initiative is of so much value that it is now going global.

The event was so beautifully decorated and truly created a feel good vibe. The table was so bright and welcoming, the pink theme really works for them. The treatment was lovely, the involvement of the guests in the event made it extra special. I have already mentioned how incredible the food was, but I have to do it again to really emphasize just how incredible it was. This was the type of place where you so full, but you have got to force yourself to keep eating because you just need to make sure you got to taste everything.

It is so important for us foodies to be aware of the food we love to indulge in. It is great to want to treat yourself once in a while, but it is even better to want to treat yourself to a long life, that is only associated with positivity and that is possible with a healthy lifestyle. We truly take for granted that healthy food can taste as good as our typical 'fat girl food'. I loved everything about this initiative and truly support everything they are trying to achieve.
